Subject: Oil seal wearing grooves in aluminum spacer

Has anyone come up with a solution to the problem of the oil seal wearing a groove
in the aluminum spacer between the ring gear and the drive pulley? After a
couple hundred hours the seal starts leaking because of the groove. I'm going
to have to get a new spacer soon because it's got too many groves worn in it.
