Eric, it probably depends on what they can get past the FAA. I believe that
seat belts are supposed to show a TSO tag for aircraft use, even in
homebuilts. (This should start a discussion!) The automotive harness is
likely to be stronger than one for an aircraft, since the car's structure is
typically stronger.
If you think you can get it approved, I say go for it.

Eric, One crown and you can pay for nice belts from Hooker or Wick's and
have enough left over for Comanche Belts. Don't use the race car belts,
they are to big, bulky and the metal hardware is heavy. They also are hard
to adjust. Jim C
