Subject: New Tailwind-List Feature!! Enclosures Allowed...
Tailwind Listers. At the request of Fred Weaver, I have modified the operation of the Tailwind-List at Matronics. You may now post any of the following enclosure types to the List for redistribution to the rest of the List: jpg JPeg Photos gif GIF Photos txt Text Files xls Excel Spreadsheets pdf Acrobat PDF Files When posting a message with these attachments, the attachments will be forwarded to everyone on the *real time* version of the List. Any attachments will continue to be stripped from the archive file, Daily Digest version of the List, and the Web List Browser. Functionally, there is no easy way to forward attachments any of these three mediums without major code rewrites. As for long-term archiving of photos and file, please email your files to the PhotoShare: pictures@matronics.com I will put them up there in a day or so. Its a semi-manual process that I try to keep up with a couple times a week. So anyway, I think I've got the bugs worked out of the file-posting code, but nothings 100%! A little debug is in order. I have included one of the pictures Fred posted yesterday to the Photoshare to see how it works. Best regards Matt Dralle Email List Admin. Hey you guys..... This is a test to see how this stuff comes through. Sorry about taking a little download time but it will be well worth it soon. We are checking to see how the attachments work. We selected Moldies Tailwind along with Wally Critchlow's airplane so you wouldn't have to look at Weaver's airplane again.=20 We are embedding Moldies airplane just above this text... And we did the attach thing to Wally's Tailwind even though it's an ugly little puke. (weav wrote this part) I hope this is just what the doctor ordered so we don't have to read/view all the Yahoo ads within our emails. Luc Believe it or not.......we are testing how this works....

220 kts??? You must had the throttle buried! To go that fast in your airplane, you were probably pushing 24" and 2600 rpm?.. But then again, your passenger is one helluva big guy.. Doesn't it amaze you that those little tiny wings carry all that weight? What camera were you using and what were the settings? Luc; i used an Olympus C-4000 with high quality setting, it has 4 megapixels and the original photo was about 500K but then i resized it 50% to about 100K.=20 i left the previously posted panel photo at 500K so you guys could zoom in on the instruments and see how to really burn fuel fast. PS, i have just passed the 1000hr point in TW time!! Subject: Re:1000 hours....
Dennis... Congrats on passing thru that mark.... Not a whole lot of pilots with a thousand hours of quality Tailwind time. Not too many that would understand either. A Tailwind at speed covers quite a bit of ground so the hours don't tick off unless you are going a long distance. Ever wonder how many miles you covered during that 1,000 hours? Boggles the mind... like how many times an individual could go around the world... And that's a looooonnnnggg trip. Also, thanx for the camera info. We are still messing around with pixel count and file size trying to figure out what will do the trick with the shortest load time. But we don't want to sacrifice clarity/resolution in the name of access speed. BTW, the tracks in the snow looked cool.
