--> Tailwind-List message posted by: Matt Dralle <dralle@matronics.com>
Dear Listers,
First let me apologize for the discontinuity of List service over the last
two days. There is a faulty transmit pair between here and the "B-Box" and
I have been having a heck of a time trying to get the phone company
motivated to fix it. I am now trying to get them to take one of the analog
phone circuits to temporary get the T1 line circuit up. They are
indicating that to repair the existing T1 circuit they must dig up a
cross-connect in the street which will require a Permit from the City! Who
knows how long that will take to complete.
For now, connectivity is intermittent, but working. Email should flow
fine, although web server access may be a little sporadic. I'm working as
hard as I can at getting the situation resolved, but with the holiday and
all, its just been a nightmare.
I will post more information as it becomes available... Again, my
apologies; I thought upgrading to a commercial-grade T1 would elevate my
connectivity issues once and for all...
Wish me luck!
Matt Dralle

Was looking at old photos and came across this and noted it had 180 hp spring gear
and fiberglass fuel cells in wooden wing.
Anyone know the history?

Dennis.... I looked at this airplane too... One thing I did note, it
was heavy.. But it also looked very nice and certainly was a good
restoration of an older airplane.
Don't know the name or anything else.

Hey Bob... One thing I noticed in this email.. We all like to use
Rich text html whether we know the technical term or not.. The one
thing we figured out the other night is ..... the Matronics list
doesn't support HTML very well at all. In fact, it sorta deletes stuff
that is done in something other than normal text.
I had made a post with big capital letters, made them a different
color etc etc... they came thru at normal size, no different color etc.
I guess we sorta need to stay with normal text and be happy that we can
post pictures to the email. Note the matronics list posted Flamini's
stuff quicker than Yahoo and there wasn't any garbage in the body of
the email except with Yahooooo.
Let's all get back on Matronics so we don't have to continue to double
post.
Merry Christmas everyone.....

If you guys want, I can turn off all the filtering. I think you'll find,
though, that all the extra garbage that ends up in the messages is kind of
a pain. I much prefer just the plain old text cause that's where the
information is anyway.

Subject: | Tailwind List Now Supports All That Formatting, ahh, Stuff... |
Tailwind Listers,
At the urging - okay, begging and pleading - of Fred Weaver, I've removed
all of the message filtering on the tailwind list. All of the normal
formatting stuff including HUGE, colored fonts and embedded photos and
graphics should work as advertised. Enclosures should work normally as
well. Both embedded and enclosed files types will be limited to
JPG/GIF/PDF/TXT/XLS. The Archive, Digest, and List Browser will still be
stripped down to plain-text only for technical reasons.
Let it not be said that here on the Matronics Lists we don't aim to please!!
:-)
Matt
