Wicks can't tell me if their homebuilt set of dynofocal mounts EM100-005 is ok for my 150 hp O-320. Has anyone used them? Paul pholmes@wmis.net

Paul, is the engine mount ring the same as the ACS type they sell? If so there is a good source for the rubber mounts that will cost much less than ACS or Wicks. Six day cold snap is about over. Ice should melt today. Snow is on the way, however. I just received a pair of gear leg fairings from STREAM- LINE FAIRINGS , 2320 Chesley rd. North Port , Fl 34288 phone 941-423-3591 for the Buttercup as suggested by Jim C. They are perfect for the Tailwind or any other Wittman gear leg . They have large for the main and small for the nose gear . Price was quite reasonable $ 39.95 a pair . This is how I held the wing in place as I welded the fittings to the fuselage. The fuselage fittings were bolted to the wing fittings. You can't see it in the picture but there is a 2x4 under the rear spar also. The wings are shimmed to level. After the fittings were tacked on, the struts were also made. This is my first attempt at posting a picture so I doubt it will work. Jim C

--> Tailwind-List message posted by: "Jim and Donna Clement" <168x@merr.com> Can't find straight 16 footers, that's why the wing looks like it is mounted crooked. Shim the wings level off the crooked 2X4s. The 2x4s are also clamped onto the door posts with 1/2 inch thinwall conduit clamps. I put 1/8-3/16 inch dihedral in the wing setup as it seems to level out after the welding is finished on the struts.
