Got the Tailwind Times yesterday. Good job Jerry! Weav's story was very good and informational. I haven't read the rest of it yet as I was working on the control stick. Glad to see the story on Farmer John, I have visited him a couple of times and he is a great guy! Steve -in Michigan

Thanks Steve, this issue was well received overall, Fred's article is an eye opener. I had never even considered the possibility that on long low power descents the exhaust would become too cool to produce adequate carb heat. Subject: Time to dump Yahoo
Jerry and guys It's time to go back to Matronics! Yahoo was a great alternative at first, we could attach photo's and see what someone was talking about, we could go into the archive and view attached photo's. The photo upload files were available in reduced or full size images. Now, Yahoo doesn't Archive photo's/attachments, photo uploads are only in reduced 400 x 300 size and too often Yahoo emails get lost in cyberspace showing up days later or not at all. Searching the Yahoo archives is a real pain in the Butt, with all the advertising pages with the (click here to continue to messages) BS you have to deal with, it's a complete waste of time. If you don't believe me give it a try, then try Matronics. Matronics Search Engine: http://www.matronics.com/search Matronics (Tailwind list only) now accepts photo attachments and sends them only to real-time subscribers, photo/attachments are stripped for digest subscribers. Those of you that don't want attachments or can't handle attachment can subscribe to digest only. Matronics also has Photoshare. Imbedded photo's are not practical, most people have no idea how to imbed photo's. "I think the idea of archiving photos on the web site is not particularly useful. It would be if the photo archives could be searched by subject. But that is not the case. The best practice, I think, is to set up folders by subject on your own hard drives. If a photo is relevant, save it to the proper folder and it will be there when you need it a year later." Jerry, you're absolutely right about saving photo's to your own hard drive. Guy's, it's time to dump Yahoo and use Matronics. I'm tired of getting double postings, lets all go back to the original Tailwind list at Matronics. Everyone please send more Tailwind construction photo's including jigs and special tools to the original Matronics Tailwind list.... Post Message: tailwind-list@matronics.com For those worried about the annual fund raising drive, don't worry only donate if you want to, but if you feel that Matt has provided you with a great service send him a few bucks. SUBSCRIBE: http://www.matronics.com/subscription BTW, Fred Weaver talked Matt Dralle at Matronics into allowing photo attachments for the Tailwind list, so we could dump Yahoo because Yahoo sucks now. If you want Freds opinions and insights you will have to do Matronics for a reply and please stop double postings Luc ----- Original Message ----- From: Jerry Hey To: Tailwind Forum Sent: Wednesday, January 21, 2004 1:36 PM Subject: [TailwindForum] Attachments Everybody, please imbed you photos in your e-mail so that they can be immediately seen. It is o.k. to also archive them on the Yahoo web site if you want, but first things first. Most photos are to illustrate a point and being able to view them with the email in front of you without going through the process of logging on to the web site is IMPORTANT. When a photo is attached on the Matronics site it is immediately visible. That is the way it is supposed to be. P.S. I think the idea of archiving photos on the web site is not particularly useful.
