I did the Piper Fuel Cap Mod on my vent and drilled a hole in the side of the vent tube for that reason. Your thoughts are better and I will install an additional vent in the wing root when I am performing the Clement mods and recovering my fuselage next winter. I was curious how the airfoil acted with some ice on it. It is so docile in the stall normally I wondered if it had some interesting tendencies. Also have been thinking about rigging up some type of defroster setup. Then I shined my flashlight out onto the leading edge of the left wing. Another WOW..... there was this white stuff piling up on it... Let's just say it woke me up quickly and I descended to a warmer altitude. The stuff gradually melted and blew off... Didn't notice any difference in control feel at all... Love this snow, havn't been able to fly in 5 weeks, but yesterday my daughter had a brake failure at a busy intersection here and she plunged the Olds half way into a 4 foot snow bank without damage to her or the car or anyone else for that matter. Whoppe! i'll have the car fixed tonight. Maybe if it stops snowing a foot or two aweek I can clean the runway and get flying.
