These were shipped common carrier which saves over UPS. If you live East of the Mississippi, you will be able to save a few bucks by getting them from me. Definitely Tailwind not RV. As far a length is concerned, all of the gear legs I have received from Harmon over the past four years have been the same length, as described in the plans. The bend at the axle was changed to 50 degrees and the neck down has been increased twice from 3/4 inchs and is now 7/8 inches. These gear legs when set up with 66 inch wheel base and 8 inches trail stand up nicely and provide plenty of prop clearance. I just talked to Harmon and he said that a long time ago he did provide gear legs that were two inches longer but Steve Wittman chewed him out and said that if more prop clearance is required the wheel base can be decreased. This is of course what has happened with the gear geometry. Jerry On Monday, March 1, 2004, at 12:18 PM, Earl Luce wrote: > --> Tailwind-List message posted by: "Earl Luce" > > > Good news ! I believe they are not useable in certified planes but work very nicely. They are 4 point belts, and have a good range of adjustment.
