      Richard,

Cruise will be between 4000 and 4500 rpm. Some people aren't used to
the high rev sound and think damage is being done so they opt for the lower
rpm. Being an old sports car racer, the higher revs don't bother me. This
is also were the power is made.

As far as the prop goes, A few of us Subaru put our collective talents
together and ran the aircraft data through Bates prop optimiser program and
came up with a profile. I hand carved a prop using this data. Another friend
was having prop problems with his EJ22 equipped KR2. I lent him my prop and
his problems were solved. 1500fpm climb, 40degree reduction in collant temp
and 15 mph improvement in cruise. He had tried 6 different props and had
nothing to lose in trying mine. He has since copied this profile for himself
      and is flying it.

      Ron Steber
