Dave:
After messing with boats a bit and a few drums of West behind me.
I find it sands best if I remove any traces of blush with ammonia solution.
I start with 80 grit.
An airfile is my friend.
Followed by an electric DA with ventilated paper and attatched vacumn.
Normally I dont wet sand until I am almost "there"
Have a beer and stand back and look at it with a light, a quick shot of dark
primer makes it easier to see the flaws when your almost "there."
Having said all that. I just shot Cecils wings GMC "Bright Yellow" with a
very cursory wet sand before. They are not very "glasslike" and I will join the
flying but not perfect club here within a month. I would like to build
another set of wings myself.
So whatever you do you can park next to me and your wings will look great!
