I'm using 1" wide Stainless steel stapping to hold my tank in the bird and I can't
locate a source for the rubber that goes around such a strap to keep it from
chafing. Anyone know of a source or alternate soultion?
Thanks

I think I used thin woven "tiedown" strap on 6PJ.

hamburger. Pictures were taken by Bill Cardoza from his T-18. I could almost
keep up with him in the tailwind, but he has 200+ HP hung on that T-18, so
he was a little faster. Great spring day in CA.

Mike,
Aircraft Spruce has carried that in the past. Check the index under "Rubber
Channel" p. 124 in the 2003 catalog. It's a bit heavy and rather than use
it again, I intend to carpet the tank like Jim C does.

I had scoured the catalog several times and never seen it. But there it is, "Rubber
Channel", right in the index. I guess you just need to know what stuff
is called sometimes.
Thanks everyone.
