Subject: Tailwind-List: Tailwind Cowling Now Available
I'm proud to announce that the new cowling for the
W-10 Tailwind is now available. I completed the mold
construction a few weeks ago and have the top cowl
mold up thru polish. The bottom mold will be polished
next week. Today I removed the first top cowling from
the mold and pictures are attached. The cowling
consists of polyester gel coat, 4 layers of mil spec
C-282 carbon fiber with CoreMat reinforcement in the
flat areas of the cowl. The bottom half will have a
joggled flange to match the top half of the cowl.
Total weight is less than half the weight of a
fiberglass cowl. The current price is $800 plus
shipping.

As you know, our mail was stolen last Monday. The thieves were caught
same day and the mail that was recovered was to be delivered. We
don't know if all the mail stolen was recovered. If you sent in a
subscription about ten days to a week ago, your subscription could be
affected. In response to some direct inquires, we have already
notified some that we have received their mail o.k. The following
subscriptions have also been received since the mail theft:
Lee Cardoza, Luc Hermange, Joe Haas, Bill Haskell, Lawrence Wedell,
Kenneth Bray. Thanks guys, Your subscriptions have been renewed. If
we did not contact you directly or your name is not listed and you
sent in a subscription that we should have received last week then
there may be a problem. Contact me. Jerry

Guys, I hope this doesn't open up a can of worms, but I was wondering what problems
one would incur by buying a tailwind project without plans. could one use
another persons set of plans to finish the project and get it registered without
any problems? or would you have to buy another set of plans?

Alex, You can use any number or letters for a serial number for registration. Some
use the plans number but it isn't necessary. Jim C
