I completed the mold construction a few weeks ago and have the top cowl mold up thru polish. The bottom mold will be polished next week. Today I removed the first top cowling from the mold and pictures are attached. The cowling consists of polyester gel coat, 4 layers of mil spec C-282 carbon fiber with CoreMat reinforcement in the flat areas of the cowl. The bottom half will have a joggled flange to match the top half of the cowl. Total weight is less than half the weight of a fiberglass cowl. The current price is $800 plus shipping. Seal-Send-Time: Sat, 15 May 2004 18:30:38 -0500 Guys, I hope this doesn't open up a can of worms, but I was wondering what problems one would incur by buying a tailwind project without plans. could one use another persons set of plans to finish the project and get it registered without any problems? or would you have to buy another set of plans? Alex, You can use any number or letters for a serial number for registration. Some use the plans number but it isn't necessary.
