It is a two axis with pitch, roll and connects into the Garmin GPS. This will spoil you for sure, Brad the electronic genius that works here at the airport did the GPS hookup and calibrating. On the first flight, when we turned it on it pitched over quite rapidly. I hit the cancel switch and went back to the airport Where Brad read the manual some more, it turns out there is a jumper that is in the elevator servo plug. We had the circuit open and it needed to be closed, that reversed the servo direction. Next flight, climbed to 4000 feet, turned the autopilot on, took my feet and hand off the controls and away we went. Flew for 45 minutes and never touched a thing. Brad went thru the complete setup modes and it works just great. For turns, the servo hooks into the aileron system. It will make a standard 2 minute turn with the ball less than 1/3 out of center with no rudder input. Very stable in pitch. Bob is coming after it Thursday, maybe he will give a pilot report later Jim C ________________________________ Message 3 _____________________________________ Time: 10:35:18 PM PST US From: "SHELIA PARKER" Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: Autopilot Seal-Send-Time: Wed, 19 May 2004 22:32:09 -0700 Jim , sounds good. I had 9168Q out this evening for the first time since the new heaver gear and mount and new dimensions. Works great. and evidently my welding is holding ok. I think I could use more prop-- I get over 2500 static and flat out at 2000 can turn almost 2800., and showing almost 185 indicated. It's a felix 69-69. If I remember-- do you still recommend a 68-74 with this 0320,160 ? Thanks Gordon
