John, Projects really need to be close to a prospect buyer in order that the
prospect
can evaluate everything. Where is the project? Some of the Tailwind
experts
could give her a good answer, I am sure.

Due to Harold Cheneys passing, his W-10 project is for sale. It was nearly
completed when he removed the ceconite from the fuselage to weld dual sticks
and make some changes to the quarter windows. He has about $12.000. in the
project which includes an 0-290 Lyc which has been dissasembled and
inspected and appears to be in real good shape inside, also the mags and the
carb have been completely overhauled. Harolds wife is wondering if the
project is worth the $12,000, that Harold has in it. JohnD. Thankyou

this idea) anyways, hope to see you guys in July.

Just a reminder guys, Stearmans and other aircraft of that time used
brass nails in wing construction. yes the wood may discolor a bit
around the nails but it certainly is a proven method of holding things
together for the long haul. As I recall I used less than 1/4 lb of
nails in building wing ribs, I can live with that. The glue will tend
to wick around the nails to some degree to further seal the wood around
the nails. T88 is great glue and those old airplanes were held together
with Plastic resin glue witch in my opinion was not much of a glue
compared with todays epoxies. Dave Conrad

Alex; The W-10 does not have the Clement Mods. It does have the the
triangular 1/4 windows. I don't have any pictures here and will be off to
the National Short Wing Piper Meeting at Sault St Marie, MI in early
morning to help with convention. The plane is in Northern Michigan and she
has a fellow there that is interested if they can get together on price.
She ask me on the value. I don't have any idea over the price of materials.
