I save them all to zip disc. Also have your pics from Jerry's site on zip. Your photos are in constant use in my shop. I pick up the photos from Matronics and don't bother with Yahoo. Thanks! From: Jerry Hey --> Tailwind-List message posted by: Jerry Hey Just announced a few minutes ago, a rotary engine has been run on jet fuel. It was at low power levels (80 hp) for 30 minutes. The company that did the experiment is readying a gasoline rotary for certification. They cautioned that there is a lot of work to be done before the jet fuel rotary is viable. But the experiment is very promising. The engine ran silky smooth. The same experiment would have destroyed a piston engine. The company is Mistral Engines. You might be able to find out more from their web site: www.mistral-engines.com. I haven't checked it out yet. Still not ready to succumb to the Yahoo groups thing again. Have not seen many posts from you of late. Here is a question for the two groups: Is there anyone who is not subscribed to both groups (not counting Weave of course). As far as Matronics and the Yahoo forum are concerned, they are about the same when I use them. I do think it would be good to choose one or the other by a vote. We need to quit double posting. I really dont' think very many people double post as I rarely see anything anymore.... Only an accidental post or two. Would love to see the gang on "The List" as opposed to "the forum".. Would love to say I've been having too much fun but have really just been having too much "busy".. Will have the Tailwind flying again here in a few hours. Have to fly to Wyoming in the morning. Will have lunch in Burley, Idaho before travelling thru the Tetons on the way to Riverton. Will be in Kansas on Wednesday hoping to get home on Saturday. Then it will be working like crazy around here so I can get to Baraboo for the Bash. Yeeeeeeehhhhhaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!! Thanks to Brian Alley for the spinner backplate. It is mounting up just fine. I can tell you all now, I've learned to squeeze rivets and do nut plates. Hahahahahha.... What a challenge, trying to figure out about soft rivets and hard rivets... Geez, I kinda liked POP rivets.. Looking forward to having some fun in Baraboo.... Two sites causes problems staying up to date on all the postings. It has square tips and a shorter wingspan, a front edge rounded rudder and the fuselage a little shorter. The W-10 is an improved version with heavier tubing in the firewall area for larger engines such as O-320 and O-360s.The wingtips are longer and extend in a triangular shape. The rudder is straight edged on both ends like an Extra. The useful loads area about the same. That's why it's been for sale for way too long. It's an 18k airplane. It's got way too many screws and an ugly cowl. It does FLY GOOD. Let's just say the guy that is selling it bought it for 19K... It's been in his hangar for a couple of years while he has been trying to get TOP dollar for it. Buy it for 16K and you will have a reasonable deal......... Weav Off the record. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Youngquist" Subject: Tailwind-List: W10 N70P > --> Tailwind-List message posted by: Dan Youngquist > > Hi everyone, > > Is anyone familiar with N70P, or know anything about its history? Love them both but the 10 is so superior in flying qualityies..... See you all in Baraboo.
