What a difference! At least 14mph faster at cruise power. I also washed and waxed the plane, that may have helped a little. I used the $30 fairings from Vans, and filled them with Great Stuff foam to hold them in place. I still need to get the wheel fairings on. No ground plane except the angle alum for the baggage floor frame that the antenna fastens to.
