The local Tailwind pilots at Baraboo would like to encourage all visiting pilots to maintain a safe distance from people if they desire to do a fly-by. Thanks. George, Jim, and the others. (This will promote safety, and prevent outsiders from creating problems with our flyin.) ---------------------------------

George....is that down the runway or between the hangars? We know know about the "OUT OF CONTROL" issues that Tailwinders have. Farmer John arrived today in a 5th wheel travel trailer behind an old pickup wearing a funny hat. I made arrangements with EAA for us to park in our original parking row by the Classic Cafe Monday morning about 8:30 Weather forecast for Baraboo is 75 degrees for a high on Saturday. --> Tailwind-List message posted by: "cgalley" <cgalley@qcbc.org> I did some further research. The cam on all according to my source is the same and has the pump eccentric. How ever there are two crankcases. One with the pump pad and hole. One without. Next time someone looks at an C-145-O-300, it might be worth looking to see if the pad is cast and just needs machining, or they used a different pattern all together. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Sanders, Andrew P" <andrew.p.sanders@boeing.com> Subject: Tailwind-List: RE: Crash landing on Canadian Tailwind's maiden flight > --> Tailwind-List message posted by: "Sanders, Andrew P" <andrew.p.sanders@boeing.com> > > I didn't know that and I'm glad to be enlightened. Yeh, buzz the hangar roof of the old Cirrus building. and do it from west to east. That way you should be able to pass underneath any traffic that might be on final even though you'll be going over the runway. This technique also will allow good visibility from the lawn chairs inside Jim's hangar.
