I bought a nice battery at Fleet farm for my plane.
It's a Kolb Firestar II ( It's in Sept. issue of KITPLANES )
Anyway, it's an 18 Amp Hr battery , Glass Mat Tech, Spillproof, $80.00

I purchased a small battery from Batteries Are Us, possibly 18 Amp, for $27.00.
I asked for a 'quick discarge' battery, which you need for a starter. 0-320
engine. After one year it still turns the engine very fast, and I had a
problem, due to water in the fuel at Dalhart Tx. yesterday, and ran the starter
for a long time to pump water out of the carb. It seemed to to have more power
over a long period of time than any battery I ever used.

I have used Wal Mart lawn and garden batteries for ten years, and have nothig
but praise for them on my W-8.5 with a C-145 engine. They last about 5 years.
