I guess I'll go get it sat. It's has 125 hrs since being zero timed. Came with all the accesories except mags. I even got a fuel pump with it,maybe I can sell it. Now a couple of more weekends and I get back in the air..................Bob 149 Matronics Forums. http://www.matronics.com/contribution ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 07:14:23 AM PST US From: NorthernTailwind@aol.com Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: 0-320 Hey Bob - I am glad you found something you like, hope it works well. I just wanted to mention that if the engine has a fuel pump on it and you are not going to use the pump, you will have to find a plate to cover the hole. This could set back your timing a little; they are around but scarce. You will really like that o-320. Of course you will have to get another prop too. If you have the original W-8 plans motor mount, you may want to consider a couple extra tubes for the higher HP. I welded in additional two tubes from the lower engine mount frame lugs to the center cross tube. Probably added about 8 oz of weight, but increased the strength of those lugs by 50% from original. I didn't see any way of doing the same for the top lugs, so I left them as orignal. The orignal lycoming W-8 engine mount was rated for 135 HP (O-290--which originally weighed more than a O-320 with lightweight accessories). If not I'll add a couple of new tubes. Thanks for the advice everyone, it is greatly appreciated....................Bob 149 From: "DaveM" dmagaw@att.net Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: 0-320 Good for you Bob.You will really like that o-320.Of course you will have to get another prop too.If you have the original W-8 plans motor mount, you may want to consider a couple extra tubes for the higher HP.I welded in additional two tubes from the lower engine mount frame lugs to the center cross tube.Probably added about 8 oz of weight, but increased the strength of those lugs by 50% from original.I didn't see any way of doing the same for the top lugs, so I left them as orignal. The orignal lycoming W-8 engine mount was rated for 135 HP (O-290--which originally weighed more than a O-320 with lightweight accessories).
