    Subject: Ribs Complete
    From: "Ruhnke, Mike" <ruhnkem@rayovac.com>
If I had to do mine again. Knowing what I know now about the root connection. I would not reduce any cross section at the root end to fit the root rib. I would instead remove the nose from the root rib and keep as much spar thickness as possible. Just my opinion. Mike -----Original Message----- From: owner-tailwind-list-server@matronics.com [mailto:owner-tailwind-list-server@matronics.com]On Behalf Of CJ Kirby Memphis Tailwind Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: Ribs Complete Yes, I'm sure. The photo I sent is deceptive. It does not show any of the full size main ribs. The rib in question is the one of the wing tip ribs. There is a smaller rib, that is not shown in the pic. It will be built when we fit the ribs to the spars, and finish the wood wing tips. I have attached a picture of all of the completed ribs except for the rib at the tip of the wing. If the photo file is to large please let me know. If it is ok then I will use this resolution to send photos to the group. CJ Kirby memphistailwind@bellsouth.net N540CJ

--> Tailwind-List message posted by: Brian Alley <n320wt@yahoo.com> Malcom has a nice grass strip, I've been in there with my W-10. Urbana Grimes is 10-15 minutes away with a great restraunt and is the home of Grimes lighting. Lots of neat airplanes at Urbana. I'd vote for Malcoms place, where else in Ohio can we flyin and have 3 projects under construction? Malcolm, I would need to get a ride or come on my folding bicycle from KUYF to your place. I can't get the Comanche out even if I get it in in one piece which is improbable. Maybe in cold weather. Like January. What are the GPS coordinates for your place? Eric Lovelace <mlovelace@woh.rr.com> wrote:--> Tailwind-List message posted by: "Lovelace" I am sure we could have one at KUYF, which is 6 miles from my strip or if everyone wants to try my 1850 ft strip. We can have it at my place any weekend. I have 3 Tailwinds under construction. Just got some Epibond primer from Wicks. Seems like I may need to reduce it but the reducer is not available and they won't tell me an alternate. Any recommendations? Can't return the Epibond because its a hazardous material! Paul pholmes@wmis.net

--> Tailwind-List message posted by: "Stephen Doughty" <usaviator1@hotmail.com> Well, WX permitting, I would say the 9th or 10th, or maybe the 16th or 17th. We were planning a 3 day weekend up north on Oct. 1st. I would really like to see the projects you have down there, and I am sure there are several others that would too. Thanks for volunteering this too. Paul, did you get the catalyst with it? If you did, Dupont 3602 lacquer thinner will work. If you are painting tubing, spray without thinning. If the group wants to see it, the guys with fast planes and slow internet connections will just have to be sore. CJ Kirby memphistailwind@bellsouth.net N540CJ
