Has anyone seen the latest issue of "CONTACT" ? The prop design featured is
rather
ratical--but maybe the designer is on to something.

Dave -
While I was building my Tailwind in CA I visited Spruce quite often. For
the three years I had been going to Spruce to pick up parts there was a P-tip
prop hanging on the wall; it was composite. One day I asked a chap that I
knew well who worked there, if it was a good prop or not. He told me that a lot
of them were sold because they looked good and the hype was good, but just
about all of them were returned. They did not do what they were hyped up to
do and also people did not like them because they were too flexible.

Two of the three Grand Rapids Technologies principals
came to our last EAA chapter meeting. Grand Rapids is
only 45 minutes away from us here in Kalamazoo. They
demonstrated their EFIS. It is very impressive. I
asked them why would I spend the money for their
system instead of the cheaper Dynon EFIS. Theirs does
way more than the Dynon although they recommend the
Dynon as a back-up instrument to their system for IFR.
It's really comparing apples and oranges. No way I can
describe it all here. Check out www.grtavionics.com

Hey guys,
We just finished gluing our ribs, leading& trailing edges, and crush plates to
our spars. Both fuse sides are tacked. Friday we hope to build the fuse stations.
We are on work day 18 of the project, and it is starting to look like something.
I'm starting to think we might actually have it in the air by April.
I have attached a few pictures of the wing progress. We still have to do the nose
block, and wing tips.

LUC;
I got one of the last props Margie Warnke made. The hub of my prop has an insignia
that says "Arctic Claw, Palmer Alaska".

I went to the Warnke link and found a good example of a useless web site, try
to find an email address or a photo of their products. The two links on the home
page takes you to pages with one liners with no info. Their "send an e-mail
us: warnkeairproducts.com" is a non existent web site, not an email address.
The today's date on every page comes from your computers clock.
warnkeairproducts.com , This domain is currently unregistered, anyone want this domain name, it's your for only $8.95 at www.GoDaddy.com<http://www.godaddy.com/>
If their web site is a reflection of their products and business practices, hold
on to your money. Just an opinion! Give them a call and see if they answer
the phone. The address is probably a mail drop (private postal box) judging by
the two suite numbers.
