Just me and half fuel I can get 1500 fpm. I picked up 15 mph, sort of. I lost 10 mph when I put the wooden prop on. So I guess the engine really just gave me 5 mph. I ran with a buddy of mine in a KR-2 and I was quite a bit faster than him. Before the cowl he could out run me. After the cowl with the Ivo Prop we were about the same. Now I can scoot right on past him. I didn't use an oil cooler and noticed my oil temp would get to nearly 220 on a 70 degree day so I added a smal cooler and it dropped about 10 degrees. I may get a little bigger one and try it next weekend. In this cool of weather I'd like it to be around 190 or 200. The prop turns 2400 static and almost 2700 straight and level. I may tweak on it just a little more. I think I decided to just leave the trim thing alone. That will give me incentive to get the new alum. aux tank in. And if I go on a long trip I always have lots of crap that I carry in the back anyway. I'm glad I went ahead and put the 0-320 in especially because if I hadn't would'nt found the broken tube behind the firewall. But I think the plane is worth more now and parts are a lot less expensive and I can change pushrod seals without pulling a cylinder. Thanks for all for the advice and tips from all you guys.
