Dave, Jim gives you a good picture to look at. In order to have everything
correct, I
built a jig--a 2 x 12 long enough to meet the distance between the wheels as
per plans.
I then built two ply wood box type support for each wheel, nailed them per
the toe-in/toe-out
desired, inserted the gear legs axles into the wheels and tightened to
wheels. The wheels
were attached to the inside of the wooden plywood boxes by long bolts of the
size that
normally hold the wheels together--1/4" I think.
Next I made sure the 2 x 12 was 90 degrees to flight and jigged with the
sockets on
the top end of the gear legs-- This gave me a good and accurate place to
tack weld
the sockets. Thereafter, used jig for the final hole thru the gear leg and
the socket.

Thanks Robert, I want to "turn every stone" on this part of the
project. Proper tracking and camber are very important to how enjoyable
take offs and landings will be. Dave
