Question to Jim Clement:
Looking to some of your pictures pictures I see that you fasten the upper
half of the cowling to the fuselage through either 6 ( on TW 9 ) or 8 ( on
D. Magaws TW ) camlock fasteneres on top and 2 or 3 on each half top side .
Question: what tipe and exact size camlocks do you use and what size are
the upper mounting tabs where the camlock recievers are riveted to ( 1" wide
and + 1 1/2" long or wider ? )
Do you fix the lower half of the cowling at the bottom part too with some
camlocks or is the lateral fixation with piano hinge enough?

Guido, It looks like camlocks on the tabs but they are -8 floating nut
plates. Tabs are 1" X .050. On the bottom, 3 fasteners on each side of the
exit air scoop. Jim
