Danny; Looking through the old computer for e-mails on the Tailwind is
still a night mare. I have tried to click on a subject and scroll down to
several more to transfer to disc, but for some reason I only get one at a
time and I would really like to retrieve back to the beginning of 04, for
all the valuable info plus the pictures. Drat that windows 95. Any ideas.
I tried to send a post to Yahoo to see if I could get the PhotoAlbum from
Luc, as Weav suggested, but for some reason, I'm bounced. It was working
yesterday, but now the messages are not coming or going through. I looked
and it says I'm still a member, great way to treat members! JohnD Don't

Farmer John,
I am not sure I understand the question, but if you are talking about saving messages
from the yahoo group... you won't be able to do much with the search deal.
If you click on "messages" in the main sidebar you get them in chronological
order and you will see "Expand Messages" you can then hit file and save, and
I would choose text file type. You can get large hunks that way. You will then
be left to "find" and "find next" as your only search function. Since yahoo
no longer stores the pics with the messages, we are left with what we can archive
from our individual local email storage. I am looking at a full hard drive
myself. The DVD burners are looking good to me. You will have to get Dave
to fix the bouncing.

Also John, it sounds like you might be using a new computer? Make sure that
your address is correct in the "from" area. One little itty bitty error
there like a space will cause it to bounce.
At least you are getting thru to the Matronics site.

Jim,
The following message is from a past post referring to the carb heat control. I
need to ask what to use for the throttle control and the mixture control?
For the mixture, I can plan on an A740 with the red knob from Wicks. But, the throttle
control selection gets more complex...choices include button or friction
lock. I prefer the friction lock, but don't know which one. Wicks offers three
friction lock versions, the A800, A810, and the A820. Any suggestions? See

Malcomb, Carb heat is a A740-black from Wicks. Carb heat box top is alum
bent upward from the frt edge of the carb to the top of the cowl inlet. The
bottom is made from a foam core covered with fiberglass, the foam removed
later.

I looked for you on the Yahoo Tailwind Forum site, and you are not a member
nor signed up to receive anything. That would also be why you cannot post
to that list. E-mail me if you want to get on that list--as moderator of
that Forum, I can set you up. Or, you can go through the process of signing
up again with Yahoo with your current e-mail address.
I would note that Yahoo does not store any pictures with its archive of
messages.

I am pleased to announce that issues #2 & #4 of the Tailwind Times have
been uploaded and are available on the web site. This completes the
entire set of Tailwind Times. Since they are PFDs I suggest you set
up a folder and download them into it. That way, they will
immediately open when you select them. Jerry

Danny; The files are in Microsoft Outlook messages and deleted messages
here in the old computer, The problem is I would like to put them on floppy
disc more than one message at a time, to view in the new computer but can't
figure out how. It will take forever, as it is still doing the ole window
95 thing by locking up all the time. Thank you. John Don't Archive.

John,
In that case you will need to read up on archiving old email. You will want to
read the microsoft help files about it and you will want to be connected to the
internet when you invoke the help system so it can access microsoft for the
whole scoop. What it amounts to is making a personal folder inside outlook for
the purpose of exporting your email. Then you can copy that to a removeable
disk of some ilk and "import" to outlook on the other computer. One caveat may
be the need to change the export files attribute from read only before writing
it out to disk. I read about this myself recently but not too much of it stays
with me. The bad thing about killing brain cells when your young is, when
you hit the high 40's you suddendly realize you don't have an excess anymore.
Type in "exporting" while in the outlook help system.
