      Good afternoon -

In some of my spare time, which is limited, mainly because I'm slowing down,
I created a web site about the building of my Tailwind. It did not start
out that way. I wanted to learn how to build a web site but my subject material

I was going to use was not ready. As you know after building a Tailwind we
have all kinds of material and don't know what to do with it; so I made it
into a web site. Over the last five years I have had mumerous calls about my

Tailwind so I thought this will help out to answer questions and put things in

perspective for people who are interested in Tailwinds. I will be adding
more pages when I get the time; right now there are nine pages and I hope to
have some more up soon. I hope this is received well, it will encourage me to

      do more.

All the best, and then some -
      Earl Trimble

Very nice and interesting web site Earl. I just scrolled through it but it
will take me some time to read it all.

If any of you don't know me and wonder what kind of a nut would build nine
TWs, here is a picture of me beside the TW. Bob took the picture.

This view is looking at the rear spar carry thru tube and the back of the
windshield. I make my windshields 47" long so you can get two out of a
sheet. This one is 3/16" acrylic or also called Plexiglas. The 47" also
works out real nice for shade yet you can look out the top when making steep
      turns.

The last pic is the fuel shutoff valve. The rod is connected to the arm on
the valve and is a push on pull off. It has to be shortened and a knob
      silver soldered on the end.

The weight came in at 897# empty and without the door trim panels installed.
Heavier than I had hoped but the 3/16" WS is heavy as are the 1/8" side
windows. Also there is quite a bit of insulation under the floor and
      firewall.
