I'm hoping that everyone is just waiting until the last minute to show their support... ;-) Please remember that its solely your direct Contributions that keep these Lists up and running and most importantly - AD FREE! If the members don't want to support the Lists directly, then I will likely have to start adding advertisements to offset the costs of running the Lists. But I *really* don't want to have to start doing that. I really like the non-commercial atmosphere here and I think that a lot of the members appreciate that too. Won't you please take a moment to make a contribution today in support of the continued ad-free operation of all these Lists? http://www.matronics.com/contribution I want to send out a word of appreciation to all of the members that have already made their generous contribution to support the Lists! Thank you! His email address is shorbird@msn.com Send him a note and he can provide you with the correct phone number. I'm not sure what it is..... The airplane is in very good shape though and I'm certain it will be sold soon. A very nice airframe and a good flyer with a great finish. Dennis Vest is the current owner and has just recently completely rebuilt the engine. The interior was redone in some places and looks real nice. Dennis added a different oil cooler and reports that all temps are really good. The weight of the airplane has been reduced to less than 900 pounds. I owned this plane for several years before selling it to Dennis to buy the engine for my Rocket. I enjoyed flying it and put several hundred hours on it before letting Dennis have it. If you are looking for a nice W10 with a smooth running 0-300 Continental, Dennis has got your answer... The price is very reasonable. Let me know if you need his phone number or email address..... N540CJ is coming along nicely. 46 build days into the project now and we have built, and fit the wings, welded the fuse, built the tail feathers, elevators, rudder, stick, rudder pedals, 98% of the control system, a seat and a door. We would have two seats and two doors but we ran out of argon today, and the welding stores aren't open. We should receive our engine mount, and gear legs next week. Around then our engine should be back from overhaul. We will be receiving our fuel tank, instrument panel, cowling, spinner, and wheel pants from Brian Alley soon. We will be installing a lightweight electric flap motor, and a Blue Mountain EFIS Sport with autopilot. That should make those long flights to the airshows more comfortable. Here are a few pictures of the fuse with the wings attached. CJ Kirby memphistailwind@bellsouth.net N540CJ
