N540CJ is coming along nicely. 46 build days into the project now and we have built, and fit the wings, welded the fuse, built the tail feathers, elevators, rudder, stick, rudder pedals, 98% of the control system, a seat and a door. We would have two seats and two doors but we ran out of argon today, and the welding stores aren't open. We should receive our engine mount, and gear legs next week. Around then our engine should be back from overhaul. We will be receiving our fuel tank, instrument panel, cowling, spinner, and wheel pants from Brian Alley soon. We will be installing a lightweight electric flap motor, and a Blue Mountain EFIS Sport with autopilot. That should make those long flights to the airshows more comfortable. Here are a few pictures of the fuse with the wings attached. I have toooo many Irons in the fire. It's about time I put some of them out and get back on the TW. The weather here has been terrible for the past three weeks. All that crap that those Texas Boys sent over to Al. Guess they got tired of it too. Sounds like you are doing pretty good, let me know if you guys are planning on Sun-n-Fun this next year. Looks like I might get to make it down.
