0.26 UPPERCASE_25_50 message body is 25-50% uppercase Well I finally tore into the engine today. The only thing that didn't work out right is that I couldn't get the case split. and only 3 out of the 4 through case studs came out. The other one seems really solid. Any ideas? (Nothing seems rusty inside, which makes me happy!) rich

That is difficult to see unless you are aware of its existence and deliberately look for it. Jim

Rich, make sure the nut is removed from the stud in the back near the camshaft gear. They like to hang up on the smaller stud in back of the crankshaft flange also. There is a plate used to separate the halves using the cyl. hold down studs and thru bolts but sometimes you can use a 2x2" board and a large hammer and break it loose going thru the cylinder base holes in the case. The last one we did, even using the thru bolt plate wouldn't break loose in the front and it required heating around the front stud.
