Very clever. Where did you obtain it from? Is it an ACS Cabin Heat Shuttle Kit p/n 08-04460? Or did you make it? Eric Cabin heat box, has a slide valve instead of a flap. Seals up better. Jim C ----- Original Message ----- From: Eric Schlanser Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: super heater Jim, What is the mechanism on the firewall/cabin end of the 2 1/2" hose? Thanks, Eric Jim Clement <168x@merr.com> wrote: This is the heater, It is like a funnel wrapped around the exhaust pipe. This picture has a 2 1/2" hose but a 2" works also. It should not fit tight on the small end, you want some air movement thru the funnel so the pipe doesn't get to hot. This is similar to what Steve Wittman used. The one in the picture is a little small but works good. If it is more forward to take in the elbow area it will melt your tennis shoes. Usually take it off for the summer. Mark, this post and pic are from a past post on this site. Hope it helps. It is a single point for the Y type harness and it feels completely normal when strapped in. It is a .065 or .072 strap welded into the corner .
