Here found a link to a picture similar to yours I think. Scroll halfway down the link for pictures of the heat box taken apart for pictures. http://www.mnwing.org/id86_m.htm If this what yours looks like, I think I understand it. Thanks, Eric Jim Clement <168x@merr.com> wrote: Eric, It is riveted together and mounted on the firewall. Way to much work to take it off and then take it apart for a picture. I will make a drawing of it and send it to you when you are ready for it. Does it have springs on it to return it to the closed position? Can it be adapted for windshield defrost? The funnel opens up to put over the exhaust pipe and a few screws to close up. Mine takes in two pipes as they both exit the same side and this fastens on as near the firewall as you can. The heat bos is 3" wide, 6" long and 1" deep. and closed at one end. It has a 3/4" flange bent out on each side of the 6" base. 2" inlet on the front and back, straight thru when the slider is pulled open. The slider has the the end bent up to close the box when it is pulled past the 2" inlet. I will have to read the instructions on my camera so I can post pictures, it is hard to describe how this thing works. Jim C --------------------------------- ---------------------------------
