One other thing to add to Jim's comment about flutter is that my midget
mustang has a trim tab that has a very small spring on the hinge-pin that
would apply pressure on the tab in one direction or the other (your choice)
in the event of a linkage failure. You would have to over-ride the pressure,
but it would cut down the chance of flutter, and maybe save the day.

I thought of it but I think the servo is thicker than the elevator.

Ted and I will be flying down later in the month. I'm busy working on a Navy contract
that is due this week. Ted is working on his machine installing a new EIS.
I'm working on my wing, doing some finish work. Hope you all have a great
time.

My son and I. Red Hamilton and Marilyn. Dennis Vest and his wife Barbara.
Probably Fred and Ted?
I am also talking with a T-18 owner Bill Cardoza, but that is iffy at best.
It would be good if Darrell could come, and Wilson, Ivan and other tailwind owners.

Frankly, not very important, it's only slightly thicker... A decent
fairing would be just fine, favoring the bottom of course. I guess I will
have to be the first one. Just didn't want to go cutting into the fabric
right away. Guess it's not worse than the lower wing skin......
