Paul, Craig does do some tweeking for you after you run it if you need it. He usually
hits the nail pretty close to the head by using your actual drag data if
you have a flying airplane. Also, he keeps track of all the data from plane
to plane so he can estimate fairly close when it comes to engines and airframes.
He also let me know he is thinning his sections some and has started using
the newer "in vogue" scimitar tips. They look cool.
I will be trying one of his three blades sometime this year just looking for smoother......

pretty interesting Fred! I didnt want to change prop carvers since I would be
starting from scratch again. ........Lot of good that did me!
I would like to try a Catto, but was scared to spend the $1200 if I was wrong
in the pitch guess.

Holy Mackeral! My apologies for the error..... What was it? A Felix? Wrong for
me to assume.....
Anyway, the just of my text was to simply check your props, regardless of who they
come from.

Don't worry Paul, the prop Fred was referring to wasn't a Sterba. Jim

had a set back and can't finish it . The project is on the gear , brand new Clevelands
in the box, spars from ACS in the box , all ribs are built, seats, tail
feathers, control stick, flap handle , rudder pedals, ect. He is picking it
up friday to take it home . Let me know if anyone is interested .

As many of you know, I purchased Ted Leon's W-10
project last fall. It was severly damaged in shipping
with the verticle stab being crushed, the lift strut
carry thru tube torn loose and several cross members
in the bottom of the fuselage bent. Today, I started
cutting away the bent structures. All of the verticle
tail was removed except the tailpost. The damaged
H-stab stub spar and the tubes that create the saddle
in the fuselage sided were all cut out and discarded.
I welded in a new cross member in the top of the
fuselage where the leading edge of the verticle stab
is attached as this was the only tube damaged in the
top of the fuselage. It really felt great to have the
torch in my hand again. I'll be fitting more tubing in
the fuselage tommorrow.
