At station 48 the Aircraft Spruce updated plans indicate heat and bend on the top longeron.... Is this true/necessary? 2. Are there any other bends that need heat? such as the top longeron at station 163? 3. On the JC Mods there are two 1/2" tubes that don't have location dimensions under the door opening... the horizontal and the diagonal tubes. I bisected the distance on the tube that they intersect and don't believe this to be critical but don't want to cause a problem downstream so any help on this would be appreciated. 4. What is the preferred material for the door posts? Plans indicate 3/4 round or 5/8 Square ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 06:43:15 AM PST US From: "Ralph J. It is best to heat the bottom and sides so the slight buckle will be inside the cluster. Same at station 163, heat the cluster side. The rear door post intersect is the same as the front door post or close. Round or square, you choice. I use round because I have it, If I used square I would use 3/4". I actually have the 5/8 square and was wondering if the flat surface helped on the mating of the door or not..... one of those builder choices.
