Brian:
1.Place fuselage in level flight position
2.Hang weight from high end of spar - if spar is bent
down invert fuselage in level flight position
3.Weight should be 3 or 4 inches above shop floor
4.Make a simple see-saw device, a couple feet long, on
floor with high side under weight
5.Vertically behind other end of see-saw mark a scale
of arbitrary
marks on white cardboard
6.Heat spar at weld - watch see-saw move up scale as
heat is applied, down scale as it is slowly removed
7.This device will show how various amounts of heat
and/or weight will affect spar
8.May have to slide an extension over stub spar to
make heat more effective
