    Subject: Ceramic Coating
--> Tailwind-List message posted by: "J. Mcculley" <mcculleyja@starpower.net> Thanks for the several comments about welding/repairs on exhaust stacks that have been ceramic coated. Just wondering whether anyone has put significant operating hours on the "ugly gorrila" welds to comment on how well the repairs hold up compared to similar repairs without the coating involved. What's the trade-off, if any? Jim

I can't make the Mid Atlantic, but Urbana is coming up in 4 weeks and I'm planning on making that one. Son elected to school board and the Super hates him and is trying to jail him to keep him off, so the Tailwind project is not progressing as fast as hoped. Finishing up the aluminum, then on to getting the engine running. One thing at a time and I can see progress. Have fun building and flying guys, as us builders are getting there. Farmer John
