I know some of you are using this system and I was wondering if anyone had had
any trouble with customer service. I am rebuilding my W-8 with an 0-290 and
I ordered an EIS for my new panel. When I recieved it, it was missing several
parts, including the wiring harness. I e-mailed them about it a week ago and
still don't have an answer. Anyone with any experiance?

      Ditto Paul.

Also, I have met the principals and they seem alright. I haven't sent them any
money though. Possibly they were so surprised that someone bought their unit,
that they were caught off guard ;).

      Did you order the harness?

IMHO, the W-10 wing will do better for a lower powered engine. At that point,
might as well do the rest of the plane per W-10 plans too. However, if you really
want a W-8, I have one for sale....and you won't have to fool around converting
      a corvair  ;

Just thinking more out loud, I will sell you the W-8 less FWF, and you can install
the corvair. I can use the engine for to build an RV-9 (I can hear the flames
      starting.....;)

I didn't mean to ask you if you got the harness. I agree with you on the GRT observation.

The question about the harness order was for Bob, who didn't receive a harness.

Yes, it would be a good idea. The flange is thinner on the G shafts. Some used
the stiffener and others didn't. There was some flange cracking with the ground
      power cranks. Jim C

Bruce, The wife and I are planning on leaving on the 21st. We will be driving up
from Alabama. I have a friend that built a cozy, and now wants a Tailwind. I
think he is going to drive up along with us. I told him that Baraboo was a must
see if he is planning on owning a tailwind. He might be interested in purchasing
one instead of building one since he just built the cozy. Said he was going
to sell the cozy. Hope to see all you guys again this year.
      Alex

      Ditto Paul.

Also, I have met the principals and they seem alright. I haven't sent them any
money though. Possibly they were so surprised that someone bought their unit,
that they were caught off guard ;).

      Did you order the harness?

Hangared at Yolo Co., CA (2Q3). Cheaper in all respectsthan a C-175 and a lot faster,
      but not as roomy.

How much where and what engine? It might be bad to say but I am definitely a budget
      flyer even though I own a C-175

IMHO, the W-10 wing will do betterfor a lower powered engine. At that point, might
as well do the rest of the plane per W-10 planstoo. However, if you really
want a W-8, I have one for sale....and you won't have to fool around converting
      a corvair ;

I might be wrong but I thought a W8 performed better on an O200. What does a W10
do on an O200 or Dare I say a Corvair?

why would you want to build an 8? The W10 is everything the 8 needed to be..
