Anyone have experience with their Tailwinds using Grove Wheels & Brakes? Which of their 500x5 units are you using? Need to change mine out and trying to figure out what unit to go with and still stay as light and streamline as possible. Paul CVX

--> Tailwind-List message posted by: Malcolm.Lovelace@CooperTools.com I use them on mine Paul. I have the 1250# rating. It has the single piston. I think the number is 50-1. Tnx Malcolm for the info. That is what Robbi at Grove recommends. The heavier dual piston are a 1/4" wider to the inside of the gear. Have to measure and check it out. Figured with my fat but and the tail heaviness of the Tailwind I could get away with more brake effectiveness. Paul CVX

--> Tailwind-List message posted by: Malcolm.Lovelace@CooperTools.com I have plenty of stopping power with mine. I can lock them up if I really stand on the pedal. They are a better quality than the Cleveland's because the calipers and discs are machined from a billet not a casting. > -----Original Message----- > From: IslPilot@aol.com [SMTP:IslPilot@aol.com] > Sent: Thursday, June 16, 2005 1:37 PM > To: tailwind-list@matronics.com > Subject: Re: Tailwind-List: Grove Wheels & Brakes > > Tnx Malcolm for the info.
