30mph slower at a higher rpm. I have carved on it quite a bit, ended up making
it vibrate some. It should be sent to Craig Catto and trued with more pitch
added. It is light in weight.

Red, At 2800 rpm, how much slower approximately, do you think that the Derrick
would be compared to your present prop in mph?
I am in a research mood on props.

I tried a temperary prop at Boo that turned 2700 top speed and it only does 165mph.
I was getting close to 190mph on my old prop at 2700.

I am getting Rick's old Felix prop shipped to me from Tom Barnes.

        George

PS Hudson said the highlight of his week was the fun of helping you get your
      plane ready.

A construction company left a 14 inch high marker light in the middle of
a taxi way right next to the runway at Clintonville Wi. airport and my prop hit
      it and is ruined.

I borrowed a prop to get back to Baraboo and Jim C's hanger.

To get a new prop probably would take a long time.

I would like to purchase a used prop to get back to Phoenix within the next
several days. If anyone has one that might fit and will sell it, please reply,
include price. My cell phone is 602 867 7626
            Email: tailwind222@yahoo.com

It is for an 0-320 150hp 3/8" bolts. Wood only.

            Thanks, George

PS. So far at least 12 or more Tailwinds made Oshkosh. Buttercup stayed
home but Earl and wife made it by auto. Brian finally made it in. Space Ship
One and Global Flyer made it. The weather has been refreshing except last Sunday.

Red, I bought a prop that gives me good speed compared to the temp. one, at the
same rpm. Thanks for the info. George
