Does the inside of the glass cowl need priming or a coat of West or is it ok as
is?

Paul, I painted the inside of my cowling before painting the outside. It makes
cleanup much easier. It also prevents the oil from penetrating the fiberglass
which will eventually cause deteration of the composite part. I had read that
white surfaces inside the cowl reflect radiant heat so the cooling airflow can
carry the heat away.
