Tailwinders, Due to a world wide shortage of carbon fiber fabrics, prices have
trippled in recent months. According to my suppliers, things are going to get
worse before they get better. Even Lancair has had a 5 yard limit on carbon fabrics
to Kit customers only. I'm currently researching alternative suppliers and
alternative fabrics. I have enough fabric on hand to fill exsisting orders
but until I figure out what to do, it would be best for new customers to call
to discuss their needs and option before you place your order. To conserve materials,
I'll have to begin making some parts with glass ie wheel pants and instrument
panels. Thanks in advance.

Attached is a copy of my letter to Paul and the board of SAA. Many of you probably
think as I do that this organization is important in keeping grass roots aviation
alive.
The Wittman Tailwind was the first fast plans built two seater, dating to 1953.
This is about as grass roots as it can get, and I for one am proud that we as
a group have supported the SAA.
