I thought about a flap puchrod incorporating a turnbuckle barrel that could be lengthened or shortened in flight. The only problem I've seen so far in the diffululty in locating an AN490 rod end with left hand threads. Has anyoone tried this and if so, where did you find a left hand thread rod end? Has anyone come up with some other method? A bungee cord on the aileron pushrod? Something about a Cub crash and suit against his airport. Even though court said it was no fault of the airport I think it cost him lots. He has shut down his flight instruction and laid off the help. Let me know where that sight was. So sorry. You just pushed up on the flat washer to get the right tension and when you released it the washer would cock sideways and lock in place on the push rod tube. Jim could probably elaborate more on this.
