    Subject: Catto Props and HP
I had Craig Catto build a prop for N320WT and installed it just before Airventure last year. I asked him to build it for a 160HP 0320. My 0320-A2B was a low compression 150HP motor until late last week. I installed 8.5:1 pistons and new rings in freshly honed cylinders and made my first flight Friday with 160HP. The results were quite impressive. Observations will be listed as Before/After the compression increase. The process of installing new pistons only took 3 days. Static RPM 2130/2250 Climb at 120 mph ft/min 1100/1600 RPM @ 22" MAP 2440/2650 Cruise @ 22" MAP 150/165 During my next flight, I plan to do a full throttle run to see what max rpm will be. I'll also try setting power to the old cruise rpm to see what MAP is required and what the fuel flow will be. Should be interesting to see!!!
