Rebuilding 600 x 2 Scott tailwheel and having trouble keeping the tire
from
turning in the hub. ANY SUGGESTIONS WOULD BE APPRECIATED.

I've heard of people putting sheet metal screws through the aluminum hub
into the solid rubber tire... and others have wrapped strips of old inner
tube around the aluminum hub...

Subject: | Static RPM test of cross over exhaust vs Y pipe exhaust |
Just finished welding up my homemade cross over exhaust and gave it the
smoke test in some static WOT runups. Here's some info....(Lyc O320 160
HP, Sterba 69X75 prop)
run # 1 with new X-over exhaust 2270 rpm ( readings are as best as I could
tell on the steam gage tach)
run # 2 with the Y pipe exhaust 2220 rpm
run # 3 with new X-over exhaust 2280 rpm
so it looks like about a 50 to 60 rpm gain on the avg on a static runup.
Now on to making some heat shields for the alternator, starter, etc where
those pipes come close to...

I actually had good luck with duct tape wrapped arround the hub. Started
out as a temporary repair, but lasted years.
