I have flown it for about 40 hours now with the discoloration and now it has started to develop cracks radiating from the filler hole. I have drilled these cracks but feel a little wary. Not sure what it would be like to have a 150 mph wind in your face! What is the best way to prevent this short of being more careful and less sloppy? Has anyone addressed this problem? Thanks for any help & suggestions Curt Crosby N7733 W-8 with O-200 ________________________________ Message 2 _____________________________________ Time: 11:37:36 AM PST US From: "owenld@earthlink.net" Subject: FW: RE: Tailwind-List: Lexan windshield ----- Original Message ----- From: owenld@earthlink.net Sent: 9/8/2008 2:29:22 PM Subject: RE: Tailwind-List: Lexan windshield Curt I had a similar thing to happen on N6PJ years ago. See the attachment to see how I cemented a plexiglass patch around the filler hole and painted it white. Good Louk. That was about 15 years ago I think but it seems like it was a paste type adhesive that was touted to be for plastic. Sorry I cant do better than that. Good luck with your fix.
