Do you know of any other 2 place homebuilt that gives you 110 knots (126.5mph) and sips only 5 gal/hr?? >From what others have said, there seems to be a sweet spot in Tailwinds between 130-150mph (depending on the airplane) where you get the best distance/fuel ratio. Both airplanes would comfortably travel over 180 mph @ less than 8 gph. If you made them go faster, the fuel burn went up too.
