Were there any signs before you started flying? Like, somethng yo umay have
noticed when looking at the engine on a preflight? I have a Tiger in right
now that has soot around #3 and exhaust stains around the #1 top plug but I
can't see anything at all on the engine that looks like it needs attention.=20
Compression in #1 was 72/80.

I think for all this you might want to leave your plane for a while.
Are you going to install new lights? Ultra Vision panel lights? powder
coat the overlay? There is a week or so involved in doing all that.

OK, that makes sense. I've run this with the cowl open and can find nothing
out of the ordinary. I guess we'll see. Thanks for the update. I've
