I've been flying a friends Tiger this past week. It has ONE cylinder with
very different behaviour than the others during all phases of flight. It
also has the JPI 700.
I have the manual for the EDM 700 and I looked up the cause for one cylinder
having high EGT (100- 150 higher than the others which are different by only a
few degrees) being the result of a fouled plug, Well, that's possible, but
the CHT on that cylinder is high also (up to 50 degrees higher than the
others).=A0 I'm thinking there is an intake leak.=A0 Any other ideas? This is
my first
experience troubleshooting with a JPI 700.

I painted the insides and theoutside of the upper this last week. The upper
finish coat was painted when it was 103 and 70% humidity. We've had freak
storms go through here, you may have seen it on the news. 70 mph winds and
hail and enough rain to flood the streets. Anyway, the Imron, even with
reducer added, set up too fast and there are some dry spots. It's not bad, just
can't see letting my baby out with a bad finish.
Tonight, I'm going to paint the inlets (those that let the air in to cool the
engine.) I decided to paint them separately from the rest of the cowling to
try to get the inside of the inlets looking good.
