And, they know Grummans. They aren't cheap. Look at my web site, Under Team Grumman, and click on projects. There is a Tiger, worlds most perfect Tiger, on that page. It was painted in Santa Paula. You could call them. The perfect Tiger got 3 colors plus 3-D lettering. Out the door, with clearcoat it was just over $11,000. It's flawless though. It's definitely show quality. I guess he fears some competition. If you could, I'd appreciate posts to Team Grumman as well. I just don't have any experience with them. Well, I have some, just not much. I have a LOT of time in the 4 place and so I focus on them. ------------------------------------------- I flew my new cowling today with two other Tigers. One had the powerFlow muffler. The 75 Tiger I'm using as a test bed was faster than either of them. And this 75 is ROUGH. It's been crashed twice. I also installed a manometer to meassure pressure drop across the cylinders. Lycoming recommends 6 1/2 inches of water pressure drop in cruise, and over 3 1/2 in climb. Well, i get 5 inches of water in climb and 6 1/2 to 7 inches of water in cruise. Lycoming also recommends 90 square inches of inlet area, I'm using about 46 square inches. My inlets are total pressure recovery inlets and they work great. I also painted colored oil dots all over it to see where the air flows. The inlet in front of #2 has some reverse flow, but other than that, it looks great. I'll post some pics when I get them processed. I need to convert this plane back to the original cowling next week so i'll get the before data after that. It should be fun.
