--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: "flyv35b" <flyv35b@juno.com> It most likely just faded due to continual dragging of the brake to counteract the strong x-wind. No solution other than to let it cool. --> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: James Grieco <jamesgrieco@yahoo.com> If your brakes worked ok at a later flight, this was probably the a/c weather vaning into the wind. I have had this experience before with very strong cross winds. The wind strikes the aft fuselage and vertical fin and causes a very large turning moment turning the nose into the wind. When this happened to me I had just landed and could not make a right turn off the runway. I had to taxi past the turnoff and turn into the wind and let my momentum finish the turn onto the taxiway. (a 270deg turn left instead of a 90deg turn right). __________________________________

--> TeamGrumman-List message posted by: Tiger67B <jnpsavage@cox.net> Many times one set (PILOT SIDE) fail, but CO-PILOT side will still work due to design of system. I've been "saved" at least twice by having someone in the right seat who still had adequate braking....and ...it seems to last quite a while. Days in one case. The RESEVOIR is on the pilot's side, but actuators on right side are independent and will still have fluid.
